Hugh is a criminal defence lawyer who has been admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland since 2018, as well as later being admitted to the High Court of Australia.
Hugh holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Business (majoring in International Business and Finance) from the Queensland University of Technology.
Hugh has been directly involved in a broad range of serious criminal matters, including but not limited to murder, attempted murder, drug trafficking and importation, armed robbery, grievous bodily harm, and serious sexual offences. He has also been part of a number of high-profile and complex cases that have attracted significant public and media attention. He regularly represents clients charged with summary and traffic offences.
Experienced in all levels of Queensland’s criminal court system, Hugh appears frequently in the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts, as well as interstate matters. Known for his personable nature and strong client focus, he prides himself on achieving the best possible outcomes for those he represents.
